(903) HOUSTON ASTROS
(904) PITTSBURGH PIRATES
Take "Over"

A pair of washed up pitchers on the mound should help the offenses. Houston's Russ Ortiz should have retired 5 years ago, it's amazing he's still in the big leagues. So far in 2009: 6.75 ERA, 4 walks and 5 hits allowed in 4 innings. Same old Russ! Pittsburgh's Adam LaRoche and Freddy Sanchez are hitting in April. In a 7-0 victory this week, Sanchez had three doubles, two of them starting run-scoring innings, and the normally slow-starting LaRoche had three hits as the Pirates won their home opener for the first time since 2004. Pitt started 4-1 over the total. Starter Jeff Karstens has marginal stuff. All in all, look for plenty of runs in this one. Play the Astros/Pirates over the total.

(59) MONTREAL CANADIENS
(60) BOSTON BRUINS
Take "(60) BOSTON BRUINS"

The Canadiens-Bruins rivalry remains one of the best in any sport, and they had an old school donnybrook in their final regular season hookup last week. I see that paving the way for a big Boston effort in Game One. This is a #1 vs. #8 series, but I don't see any chance the Bruins come in less than fully focused off last week's brawl. Boston won all five regular season meetings, and I see them being capable of sending a strong message tonight. I don't normally advocate laying the puck line in the playoffs as there are so many close games, but I'll take the plus money and go that route with Boston tonight.

Money Line: 187 Anaheim Ducks

Ai Simulator 5* graded play on Anaheim as the face San Jose slated to start at 10:35 EST. Supporting this graded play is a strong system that has posted a 76-57 mark making 45.6 units since 2003. Play on road dogs of +100 to +200 against the money line versus division opponents, off a road loss against a division rival. Here is a 2nd system that has gone 125-88 making 31.5 units since 2003. Play on any team against the money line off a close loss by 1 goal to a division rival and with a winning percentage of between 45-55% on the season in the second half of the season. Here is a third system that has gone 75-71 making 28.6 units since 2003. Play against home favorites against the money line after having lost 2 of their last 3 games and playing with 3 or more days rest. San Jose is just 6-10 against the money line (-11.3 Units) against good offensive teams averaging 29.5+ shots on goal per game in the 2nd half of the year this season; 5-10 against the money line (-15.0 Units) off a close loss by 1 goal to a division rival over the last 3 seasons. Anaheim is a solid 25-15 against the money line (+11.3 Units) in road games after playing a game where 7 or more total goals were scored over the last 3 seasons. Take Anaheim

This is the only play he has out now. I've gotta run for a few hours, but will have his night plays sometime this afternoon.

20 DIMER - SAN DIEGO PADRES (Peavy over Maine)
20 DIMER - SAN DIEGO PADRES (Peavy over Maine)

Jake Peavy has been reached for 6 runs in his 15 innings of work this spring, splitting a pair of starts. I have a feeling the righty is going to be ready to mow the Mets down in their new park this Thursday night, and I am all about this very nice price on the Padres, and their ace tonight.

New York counters with John Maine, and if you ask me, while Maine is capable of shutting the Good Fathers down tonight, more than likely he is going to be hit by a San Diego team that has enjoyed this April, getting off to a 6-3 start.

The Padres also play well when playing against the Mets, as they have split the first 2 at the new Citifield, and are now 12-5 overall against New York since the 2007 season.

It is a small card this Thursday, but I do have the one winner on the diamond that will add more coin to our pockets! Take the Padres over the Mets.
Today's Complimentary Selection

The G-Man is on a 14-8 comp play run my last 22, and today I will go with the Yankees on the RUN LINE, as they open their new stadium in the Bronx.

You have to expect CC Sabathia, and his mates to be a little extra-amped for this game, and with the Yankees coming off another road series win - this one at Tampa - New York does have some momentum as they take the field today against a Cleveland team that owns just 2 wins through the first 9 games of the year.

Sabathia looked like his old self in his last start, as he fired 8 scoreless at Kansas City in a win, while last year's Cy Young award winner Cliff Lee has looked more like Cy Old, losing both of his starts to date, while allowing 11 runs in just 10 innings of work.

G-Man is calling for Sabathia to work 6 or 7 scoreless frames, while the Yanks put up a big number around the 6th inning, breaking through against Lee and the Tribe in a 3-runs or more victory.

Take the Yankees on the RUN LINE.

3♦ NY YANKEES -1 1/2 RUNS
(on a 1♦ to 5♦ basis)
Hey GUYS I HAVE ONE DAY LEFT IF ANYBODY WANTS TO PICK G-MAN UP
